If that idiot Douglas Bruce, slumlord extraordinaire, is against something, that immediately tells me that it is for the best of the county.

Then looking closer, it makes even more sense. We have seen the expansion of the amount of calls of service, but we haven't seen an increase in personnel. We are talking about public safety and the lack of such.

What we see here is the Teabagger mantra that "Everything the government does is bad and private ownership is the only good way" in action. Problem is that is not the case, as laid out in the article.

They got rid of the Hospital, and now they are trying to sell off the Utilities. If they get their way, we will be once again on the national stage, and once again as a laughing stock for allowing runaway Conservatism to destroy the city.
