we live in teabaggerville... who in their right mind think these baggers are going to vote for an increase in taxes... or any increase??? it is hard to tell from the article at what point the public gets a say in this... before or after mayor botch's buddies get rich, and we are on the hook for the rest??
is mayor botch going to count these jobs as new? they will be the same jobs with less pay and benefits... how many of botch's friends made out on this one? he will be re-elected, because he is old, white and will put an R by his name... this village is getting worse every day!
thinker, in North Dakota alone there were hundreds of unreported spills at fracking and oil drilling rigs. these were discovered well after the actual spills. the definition of unreported... well figure it out for yourself.
we don't need no stinking public input, says the fat cat developer buddies of mayor botch.
these guys are unbelievable!
fracking is far from having a "strong environmental track record". there are spills at fracking sites every week. we don't hear about them, and most times the EPA doesn't either. they proclaim that ground water contamination has not "been proven" to be from their activities. this is not the same as saying they have not caused ground water contamination. if fracking is already subject to "rigorous standards and regulations" what are they afraid of? darth vadar cheney put in energy laws protecting these polluters from coming clean and they are fighting hard to keep these protections in place so they can continue to pollute and not be held accountable.
the gunuts argument against background checks is mentally ill people will just run you over in a car? WOW! how about we keep legally obtained guns out of mentally ill people's hands and avoid many of the thousands of murders occurring every year. it's not guns that kill people, it's those darn copper alloy encased lead bullets. the bullets that result from a PERSON pulling a trigger. lets make sure the people with the fingers on the triggers understand when to pull that trigger.
the geezerette continues to cater to geezers and developers (including our mayor botch).
