Rachelle, you're either ignorant to the many obvious failings of BGen Born - or you must not have fully read this article. I attended the Academy during her tenure. I'll never forget her signing the overtly Christian message in the Academy Spirit. That endorsement sent a powerful, early message as to which side she was on. While Mikey Weinstein and MRFF fought to make religious (or non-religious) freedom an issue at the Academy, it was clear that she wasn't on board.
You claim Mikey has some crazed, personal agenda against the Academy, yet there is WRITTEN PROOF that the General is the one who initiated a 'counterinsurgency' on Mikey. WTF is that!?! Also, the USAFA leadership clearly thinks the issues Mikey raised are valid and important enough to continue addressing via their 'religious respect conference' (though they've refused to engage MRFF in it - bitly.com/RKFGOq)
Even if you're won't agree on her failings wrt religious freedom, she failed in her job to ensure Academic compliance and excellence at the school. I was embarrassed to learn that she misrepresented faculty credentials.
Born damaged the Academy's reputation through her mismanagement and deception. I'm glad to see her go.
