Re: “UPDATE (No. 2): Academy dean of faculty to retire

SteveP, please keep up your due diligence. The Academy Scholar's Program will offer your child an excellent education. Unlike USAFA as a whole, The quality of the program's faculty is uniformly very good. If MRFF clients and supporters did not exist neither would the ASP.

SteveP - Buddy, if you are a cadet parent you do not know what a damn fool that you are making of yourself. So you say that your child is in the Academy Scholars Program. Hmmm. . .

Re: “UPDATE (No. 2): Academy dean of faculty to retire

So SteveP you say that you are the father of a 4 degree at USAFA and that you are a definitive authority to make conclusions about USAFA. You are not passing the smell test. So I am not sure you are who you say you are. But I put you in the category of TejonTech, an internet troll who spews ignorantly. If you are telling the truth, you are passing on second hand information from one kid who is under highly restricted control and has been at USAFA for only few months. Your child has not even gone through recognition yet! Enough said.

Re: “UPDATE (No. 2): Academy dean of faculty to retire

Like RTB, I too have worked with Brig Gen Born.

Her retirement is very long overdue.

I found her to be a highly insecure person in her position as Dean of Faculty. No wonder: much of the faculty felt that she was minimally qualified and inattentive to the substance of the job. Instead many believed that she acted like a brain-dead cheerleader for whomever she reported.

Militarily she does not have the background to even be a line-promoted Col. Academically she does not qualify to be a tenured professor at a respectable college.

But she wasn't benign. To buttress her tenuous hold on her job she blindly followed the fundamentalist Christian clique. Consequently she ran roughshod over the first amendment which has been well documented by the Colorado Springs Independent.

She could care less about the quality of the faculty since her superiors did care either. Rather she spent her energies stuffing teaching and administration positions with her cronies.

Then she lied about it to a reporter, to the accreditor, to the Air Force Inspector General. and under oath in a court case. And Lt Gen Gould is still covering for her!

It's become unbelievable how many full and light birds work at USAFA. What an enormous waste of money.

Her legacy is fraud, waste, and abuse.
