First moved to the Springs when I was in diapers- have moved back here 4 times (and left 3 times) since the 1970s. Recently moved back after a disastrous 4 months in Austin, TX. I grew up in Rustic Hills and also called Briargate, Pleasant Valley, and Downtown home. Politically I'm a Conservative- to the right of Giuliani, around the same spectrum as Christie, and to the left of Tancredo. I am a Mass-going Catholic. I am single and after the last year, may be too messed up to re-enter the dating scene.

Re: “KRDO NewsRadio

More of a talk station than a news station, but they do have the best radio newscasts in the area. KRDO and ABC News go a lot better together than KVOR and ABC.

Re: “Down and out and bitten

The Salvation Army has far worse problems than just bedbugs at their main shelter (and at their transitional housing on Yuma and Yampa). The RJ Montgomery Center has a major problem with black mold. The staff there and at the transitional housing are supposedly "saved" ex cons and sociopaths who literally drive the homeless back on to the street for their own sick twisted amusement. I know of one instance in August 2014 where a shelter resident was booted for bringing bedbug spray to the facility. If Major Richard thinks that all is fine with TSA's housing and shelter programs, than he needs serious psychiatric help.

Re: “Kudos for Proby interchange

Milton Proby Pkwy may be faster than the old Drennan Rd (and with the new LED lighting is much better lit than most city streets that use the lousy GE M-250s), but it is still not a full fledged freeway connection to I-25. And how come there is absolutely no public transportation to or from the Springs Airport?

Re: “Council mulls four ballot proposals

I don't think the city council should get a raise- or that the mayor should be making $96K per year. Making the city attorney an elected official makes sense, though.
