For the record... Mayor Bach is not interested in putting a baseball stadium in the Drake Power Plant location - or selling Utilities. Here is a link to a video of his latest neighborhood meeting at the Hillside Community Center on March 5th. Hear from the Mayor yourself - move the blue bar at the bottom to 1:10:38 - this is where he addresses both.

Colorado Springs Utilities reports to City Council. Mayor Steve Bach has no authority over Colorado Springs Utilities. Mayor Bach has had no discussions whatsoever with The Sierra Club or any other environmental groups concerning any matter. The Sierra Club has sent a letter to the City threatening a lawsuit concerning Martin Drake. City Council has given City Attorney Chris Melcher direction on responding to the Sierra Club demands.
