Re: “Letters: Thoughts on gun law

You can make all the idiotic laws you want, it won't amount to a hill of beans! You can tighten gun laws, it won't help. If you really want to stop the gun violence mainly in the young adult males we need to start early. That means tough love, CORPORAL PUNISHMENT IN THE SCHOOLS! The sad part is the majority of schools in America are run by wussy administrators most of whom have never done a hard days work in their lives and it shows! So you need to start by getting rid of these ninnies and wussy union teachers. Another idea would be to turn all of our crappy public high schools in to military schools. It's been tried and it works! Example there was an inner city school in East Chicago that was a disaster. About 10 years ago the U.S. Marines took it over. After the first four years they had their first graduating class. Everyone of the students not only were accepted into college(s) but everyone of them also got a scholarship. I challenge any public school in America to beat that! Oh wait they're run by union wussies so it's probably not possible!!! NEA/AFT losers once again!!!

Re: “Letters: Thoughts on gun law

Gun Control, stricter laws, blah blah blah! YOU WON'T EVER CURVE THE VIOLENCE THROUGH LAWS! If you really want to stop all these shootings by young adult males and the gang shootings by inner city African Americans there is only one possible solution. BRING CORPORAL PUNISHMENT BACK TO THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM!!! While their might be a correlation between what kids watch on TV and in movies and what they hear with respect to music there is one thing they all have in common, they have no respect for human life, no respect for authority, and no respect for the consequences!!! It's time to start introducing them to the consequences and do it early. It's to late for the high school kids of today, but it isn't to late for the high school kids of tomorrow!!!
