I find that its usually the same small group of cops that are doing this, and complacent associates that back them up. I filed three IA complaints against CSPD in the last year over one incident, the first IA guy threatened me for filing, I added his name to my second complaint, and the second guy just said they acted within policy. (apparently violating your 4th amendment rights is policy in Colorado Springs) The third complaint is still under review, but the case was moved to cold, so my lawyer cant access important data in it. When I spoke last with the IA investigator, not only did she tell me that one of the cops named in the complaints will be doing the investigating, but they will not review if laws were broken, only policies... and not only do i not have access to what these mystery policies are, but she even admitted they would likely omit relevant policies to find the least punishment available...
And because the case is now somehow marked as cold, I cant get the info I need t file a lawsuit against them...
How is that for oversight?
I wonder when someone will ask Mr Williams why we are paying for this recall election when it is clearly just an NRA puppet show. I mean, in the last 2 years we only had 5 major natural disasters in this county, plus we were in a budget crisis for the last 7 years or so... What ever happened to FISCAL CONSERVATIVES and letting us govern ourselves, as the tea party types so loudly preach... I guess when your slave masters at the NRA say dance, you dance, huh?
wait, so if you own a gun that is involved in a crime, you shouldnt be held accountable for it? what about all that Tea Party talk of personal responsibility?
you think he's compensating for something?
