I wish they would have mentioned that every single activity there aside from the tour had an additional cost. It took them 15 minutes to charge my card on their cell phones. It looked like the animals have a happy home, though.
I spent four hours cleaning along 21st and Cimmarron about three weeks ago near the Gold Hill Mesa development. I pulled all of the bags out of the trees and had it looking fairly clean. Today, it is worse than it was before I cleaned it. I am really grateful to the city for funding some projects to clean the land, but I wish that there were more, even if it meant higher taxes.
I went to Spice Island Grill, and I had horrible service both times. The food wasn't great, either.
As a person who moved here from Iowa, I feel Colorado Springs has many wonderful attributes, but tolerance isn't one of them. It never ceases to surprise me that with the amount of diversity here, it doesn't seem to be reflected in the voices of voters or public officials. I hope that in ten years, Colorado Springs has come even further in advancing social equality.
