Bach needs to go. He is destroying our city. Companies are not going to relocate here with all the dysfunction, lack of transparency, corruption, and ties to the Koch brothers and the developers like Jenkins. He is nothing but a puppet who will do anything his puppet masters ask him to do regardless of the effect that it will have on our city and citizens. I did not vote for this corrupt mayor. Based on his behavior, allegiance to the developers and the Koch brothers, I knew it he was going to be a destructive and corrupt mayor. How are we going to grow our economy and attract businesses and jobs with this person (I would prefer to use stronger language but will adhere to the rules of the Indy). We need to seriously look at organizing a recall effort before he cripples our city, economy, and community.
Tech, get over the speed traps. If you are not speeding, you will not get a ticket. Sounds pretty simple to me. People freaked out about the red light cameras which are very much needed in this town. If you stop when the light is red you will not get a ticket (it is not rocket science.) I received my first speeding ticket about 2 years ago. I was going 35 miles per hour in a 25 mph zone. It was totally my fault, I drove a different way to work and did not see the sign. I made a mistake and accepted responsibility. The officer was very professional. I appeared in court because at the time he pulled me over, I had not put my updated insurance card in my car. While waiting in court I reviewed the back of my ticket and it was noted that I had an excellent attitude and was very cooperative. My guess is that is not something you would see on the back of a ticket. You are not the victim when you get a speeding ticket, you broke the law and need to accept responsibility instead of blaming the officers for doing their job. We need to get rid of the "victim" mentality and assume responsibility for our actions. Have a great day and drive carefully.
