I work at a local restaurant (The Green Line Grill) that fresh cuts every fry. I have to call shenanigans on what the CEO said about freezing them being necessary. As our patrons will tell you, our fries are amazing, always crispy outside, soft inside. It takes all of 15 minutes to cut a 50 pound box of potatoes into the best fries I've ever had. And we don't even have a freezer, so obviously they are miss informed about how fries work. "Belgian style"? More like cheapest way to make a buck. If I were this guy I wouldn't be so quick to insult Belgium.
Ive Been homeless downtown for a long time, I've seen the dark and light sides of how downtown reacts to Scoop, and how he reacts back. Something that has been a "thing" in the homeless community for a long time, people call him "crack" and yell it at him. Its a horrible thing to see, and being someone with autistic family members, and my own mental health problems, it always hurt to see it. I'm proud to be able to say that almost every time some dick yelled at him, someone else was there to tell them to stop, sometimes it was me. Im glad to see this take on Scoops life, its nice to see that people have supported him so much. My mom bought something from him once, and while afterwards she found his persistence annoying, she was alway nice, and when i worked at subway, he was always a cheerful face to see.
Thank you so much for making this. It warms my heart.
