Re: “Manitou has recovered, maybe a little too much

.... Bicyclers and motorcyclists should be warned. Manitou avenue is so dangerously littered with potholes your life is in danger when you drive this road. It was not the case from 1975 through the early 2000's . Ignorance and "Deferred maintenance" pursued and there have been no consistent repairs or maintenance performed. With all of the "Jammed down our throats" parking revenues and increase in sales taxes there is no logical reason the city does not have the equipment/their own crew to fix this issue(the equipment is not expensive and we have most of it). We don't need an uncaring outside contractor (that CS embraces). THE ROADS ARE USED BY EVERYONE. It's an insult to follow Colorado Springs corrupt method on this issue. Madame Mayor get the potholes fixed TODAY ! Stop with the excuses...it is doable without one more excuse.....

Re: “Sierra Club opposes city-Broadmoor land swap

.... Will common sense and honesty be reflected by council. Or will it be pandering to the UBER RICK #43 in the US on Forbes List Anschultz already has US Senator Michael Bennet writing a bill for an Anschultz property acquisition on other property HE wants, yes a US Senator doing a Billionaire's bidding. And now it's newby Mayor Suthers selling out honesty....transparency in appraisals ..... and blockage of a true public process,,, all for a billionaire. Hey Suthers..l.how about representing the other 600,000 people in town ! ....

Re: “City applies for bailouts for landslide-damaged homes

..... The city and property owners will pay millions ..... because unethical developers wanted unbridled developments. I have lived in the Pikes Peak region for 40 of the last 41 years and during that entire time our city council and county commissioners have been puppets and pawns to developers. Bob Isaac's reign could have been the worse , nevertheless this is the public subsidizing developers profits. Today it exist as the storm-water controversy/ lack of funding. All development creating impenetrable barriers ( more roads, driveways, sidewalks roofs) create more runoff. In 2003 I was at a CS council meeting when it was admitted developers fees were 70% BELOW the average of all other front range cities. If those fees were raised just to the average of our neighbors , there would be adequate funding for storm drainage. Let the developers fees rise and pay for storm water ! Above we see we are subsidizing these profiteers for landslide acres! Lets stop the fleecing by developers on all angles !

Re: “Potholes and 2C, conservative politics, land swap, Trump, and more

It's an insult to every citizen that our city council begged money for pothole repair. From 1975 till recently ???? This was a normal part of operations and maintenance of our roads. Now we get a special tax for it...how irresponsible. Pothole repair equipment/personnel should be a permanent part our the city crew just as potholes are a permanent art of the landscape. What next.....they'll ask for a special tax to change the oil on their fleet vehicles and have it done by Jiffy Lube ! ....

Re: “City and Broadmoor emails don't explain how land swap evolved

....And to add to this slime.....all of this dancing .... all of this weaseling is to benefit the 43rd richest American Philip Anschultz listed in Forbes at $10.9Billion. Isn't it incredible all of these city employees, Mayors and State Senator are at the bidding of a greedy billionaire. What is it the top one-ten -thousandth of the top one percent. The city and it's employees now have to hide the facts....... all for a billionaires bidding! SHAME ON YOU!

.... Geez I wonder if the Broadmoor paid for this letter .... like their employees letter to the Gazette , oh Yeah Anshcultz's Gazette no more public commentary , all articles filtered , appraisals rigged , and that's a billionaire with a US State Senator in his pocket (Michael Bennet) and maybe Mayor Suthers too ! ...

Re: “Philip Anschutz's influence knows no bounds

Bruce Springsteen said it best "Rich man wanna be king, And a king ain't satisfied, 'til he rules everything" . Just in case you folks don't realize our US Senator Michael Bennet was an employee of Anschultz right before becoming Senator. And now the FAVOR is being returned with "Special Interest do a Billionaire a Favor Legislation" , that's exactly what "The Crags, Colorado Land Exchange Act of 2015". What citizen group has asked for this legislation.....NONE ! Anschultz owns a Senator , our newspaper and our Mayor ( Mr. Suthers a little brown nosing at the Guv's mansion .... how cozy !) Oh and by the way it was a check from Anschultz entertainment group that paid Dr. Conrad Murray whom put Michael Jackson to sleep !
