I'm still confused as what pumping iron and running up hills has anything at all to do with the job of being a Senator?
There were so many gut busting laugh out loud moments while watching this hilarious ego fest that I nearly passed out. But the most ironic and deeply perplexing moment came when Glenn spoke about wanting to address the issues between the African-American community and local police, mentioning "..driving while black"; to my knowledge, Glenn has done little to zero outreach in minority communities across Colorado. Glenn's base has been overwhelming white, Tea Party/ultra conservative Christians, and aside from having Senator Tim Scott (R/SC) appear at one Glenn's rally's, I have not seen or heard about any other prominent African Americans supporting Glenn.
I don't know who was the target audience for this ad, but it highly entertaining for all the wrong reasons.
The one person who has NOT been mentioned in all of these stories about our horn-dog sheriff is - his wife. Are they still together? Does she live here in the Springs? Has she retained the services of a good divorce lawyer?
It is amusing to note that Terry Maketa's tea party supporters are oddly quiet and missing in action as their Second Amendment Darling has been caught with his pants down repeatedly. If there is any positive aspect in this debacle, it is the knowledge that the predictions about Maketa entering politics has gone up in spectacular flames.
