When did she decide to write this book and sign a contract to do so? Either she did so before the election (likely given the timeframe for book publishing) in which case she bet that Obama would win and threw her party under the bus for money, or she signed it right after the election/inauguration, in which case she's a total partisan hack who would find a way to fabricate "evidence" against this President in time for the fall publication season.

A book is not a blog post.

It's easy to get cheap laughs by inventing ridiculous statements and attributing them to unnamed others to show how stupid their group is, and Mr Tosches has mastered that art. The statements he attributes to identified persons are innocuous.
