      <![CDATA[To respond and add to nobainer…Again here we go, just 3 years ago the bondsmen were praised, by the Mesa County District Attorney, on how the bail bondsmen saved the tax payers thousands of dollars and if it were not for the bondsmen they would have to hire more officers and build a bigger jail. But all this changed in the last year, why?

      <![CDATA[They stay in business by getting courts to waive the bond forfeiture when the defendants don't show up in court.<br>

This was a big story on 9 Wants to Know a year ago. All these guys care about is profit.<br>

      <![CDATA[Why do we want to put a government agency into an industry that is run by private enterprises....and run very effectively at that. I would rather my tax dollars go towards education and schools than a bloated government entity that lets dangerous people out on the street with no supervision.

      <![CDATA[This bail-bond monopoly is insane.<br>
The people take the risk, pay the costs and suffer the victimization of criminals.<br>
There is no reason to build a private monopoly from our court system, when that system costs us so much.
