      <![CDATA[John,  I have always liked you and your column, but your opinion about what is wrong with downtown just doesn't jive with the facts. <br>
<br>
Clear back in 1959 or thereabouts, Sears Roebuck (the number one retailer in America at the time) decided to leave downtown Colo Springs and move to Southgate shopping center.
