While the entire region is facing declining revenues and the public must deal with cuts in services, the city is close to the point of receiving an annual level of sales tax revenue close to One Million Dollars a year, ($ 1,000,000.00) from the sales of MMD related products. To my most recent memory and fact checking, there has been no dramatic rise in crime related to this industry.

If I am not mistaken, it was another 'Clark Crony', Janet Suthers, who made a determined effort to keep the public out of the 'public process' by attempting to block presence of the public at city hearings on the matter of MMJ regulation.

City officials dedicated many, many manhours to address this issue in a manner that best served the needs of all stakeholders - the presence of what I would call a 'county person' within the city process does not speak well for the future of the region if these people are allowed to control the public process out of the view of the public.
For years, county commissioners have been a serious stumbling block in the creation of effective, efficient, harmonious and productive working relations between the city and the county. Go back and listen to years worth of Bocc meetings.
