The needs of parents and school kids in Yoder are no different from D-11: good schools, competent teachers, a healthy lunch and an education to prepare them for whatever they want in life, be it ranching, farming, mechanical work, trades, technology, medicine, law, parenthood, or whatever.

Dr. Suzanne Leland of the Univ. of North Carolina is possibly the country's foremost authority on partial and total consolidation of city and county government. Over the past decade, various city-county pairs have tried this merger.

- ONE set of elected leaders, for all of us
- ONE set of elections
- ONE overhead structure
- ONE set of government employees
- ONE set of laws
- ONE set of tax rates
- ONE school district
- ONE school board
- ONE Fired Dept
- ONE Police Dept
- ONE Sheriff
- ONE legal system / jail
- ONE set of building codes and enforcement

Until then, any talk of merging this or that is just playing around the margins.... by those with an agenda of some sort. My agenda is ONE government.
