      <![CDATA[I like Ross Perot for many reasons, but hate him for splitting the GOP vote in 1992 and causing one of my favorite Presidents (G. H. W. Bush) to lose his bid for re-election.<br>

In other states, Clinton got electoral votes by getting as little as 37% of the popular vote, the rest being split between Perot and GHW Bush. IIRC Ross Perot had his ass on his shoulders about Bush reneging on the foolish mantra of "no new taxes" so Perot ran against Bush to punish him.
