I've held my tongue on our new mayor for nearly a year since he was first elected, because I think anyone who wins an election should be given a fair shot once winning a gov't seat whether or not I voted for him...sorry, can't anymore with the latest initiative to spend $163,025 for the purchase of 10 surveillance cameras downtown (that's $16,025 PER CAMERA for the mathematically challenged out there) with $25,000 for annual camera / software upkeep, AND is now hiring some local developer as Interim Planning Director with NO experience working in a municipal planning department (let alone working as a public servant) AT 2X
S THE WAGE OF THE PREVIOUS PLANNING DIRECTOR!!!! I shouldn't be surprised, but I still am.
