i agree...this is lovely...but:

The problem is firstly the announcement that the controlling personalities in the city have gotten in charge of money distribution, and it will now be a wonder if the people it is intended to help will actually get the funds in any amount that will actually help them rebuild...like grants to cover costs of new regional building and HOA regulations.

To date, not a dime has been distributed.

I further wonder on much will be consumed in administration costs at places like ESM.

There are lots of folks underwater in their mortgages who will have the insurance money pay off their mortgages, but still own the bank a balance...while having nothing with which to rebuild.

The banks are so regulated these days, that I wonder if they can loan money for these folks to rebuild, or if the victims are going to just live in a tent on the rumble of the their former homes while still making payments on the burned out lot.

And all the while Steve Bach and regional building are going to be working 24/7 to make new requirements and codes to make it exceedingly more difficult and much more expensive to rebuild.

The Mountain Shadows folks are screwed three times, once by the fire and twice by the politicians...first by some decisions non-fire fighters made that left homes to burn, and now by regulating relief funds and creating new codes that are leaving a whole community essentially homeless.
