The protocol is that the chair of the county commissioners declares a disaster to the governor, who then appeals with his own declaration to the president, who then authorizes the federal resources we all contribute through taxes to have at the ready...by the time Amy figured this out and got the paper work done the fire was out of control.

So spare us all any class room time with this day late, dollar short, can't find a job in the public sector politician.
