The more reasonable and intelligent citizens of Colorado Springs (this does not include Tejon Tech) need to take the time to research the impacts to the economy, rates, and family budgets should Bach continue to pursue the possibility of selling Drake or the "800 pound gorilla on our backs", that Bach called it during a Utilities Board Meeting. Growing our economy includes attracting businesses which bring jobs with them.

Nice little demo talking point, but lower taxes are on interest income from money already taxed when it was made...for example Romney's total tax rate is 60%.
This is what I mean by shallow arguments and work for money alone that has no larger purpose and reward.

I regret I am so "shallow" that I cannot survive on work alone, without compensation of any sort.

Apparently, the so-called job creators are just as "shallow" as I am, because they will not create jobs just for that warm and fuzzy feeling of "fulfillment" that comes from hard work. No, they will only create jobs if they can inflate their earnings by paying lower tax rates and holding on with both fists to more money than they will ever need for themselves and their families, even including distant cousins.

Tejon Tech is a perfect example of how misinformed citizens can be when discussing and forming opinions on issues such as Colorado Springs Utilies, City of Colorado Springs, and many other issues. I am amazed by the number of people who post comments and spout their opinions without a thorough understanding of an issue.

Tejon Tech, the earliest an employee can get a full retirement through PERA is at age 50 if they have 30 years of service. With the lastest change anyone now coming into PERA can not retire without 35 years of service for full retirement.
