Additionally, their is a huge difference between "bashing" a person and bashing a person's politics.

Keeping and bearing arms was put in the Bill of Rights specifically to keep this issue out of public debate (along with the freedom of speech, freedom of the press, due process, trial by jury, protection against cruel and unusual punishment, etc.) All I'm saying is that issue is so weighty that it cannot simply be infringed upon by an executive order...
