They accomplish nothing other than create easy fodder for good jokes and embarrass us nationally. I sometimes sit in their meetings just for entertainment purposes.

When looking up these articles, it seems the run was about 8 to 2 of polls/stories/articles on Mr. Obama gaining in popularity rather than declining.
Staci: when attempting to make a point, your opinion would carry more weight if you didn't cherry-pick data to support your predetermined conclusion. Here is a different and much broader perspective on Obama's rating(s).
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/ot…
Additionally, their is a huge difference between "bashing" a person and bashing a person's politics.

Coincidentally interesting stories just popped up bearing relevance to what those of our county commissioners of an unsophisticated nature with relatively non-related educational backgrounds do when they draft policies not in tune with current needs: We have our young talented people move away - and an upswing in the popularity of the President that Littleton/Lathen bash at every opportunity in the spirit of 'cooperative governance'.
It's interesting how you make such a big deal about a county who refuses to abide by federal laws that infringe on 2nd Amendment rights (which ARE in the Constitution, and plus, were regulated by executive order, NOT Congress), but you seem to be fine with a state that votes to legalize marijuana (which is NOT in the Constitution). I'm pro-Amendment 64, but I'm just pointing out some inconsistencies...

Keeping and bearing arms was put in the Bill of Rights specifically to keep this issue out of public debate (along with the freedom of speech, freedom of the press, due process, trial by jury, protection against cruel and unusual punishment, etc.) All I'm saying is that issue is so weighty that it cannot simply be infringed upon by an executive order...
