Those of you commenting about blaming the President or various other grassy knollist rubbish need look no further than our own Mayor for his inaction and devastating mismanagement of this fire, if you truly require a [legitimate] target. It's time to define a new agenda for our town or your political rambling will suffocate in the same runoff as the playgrounds and homes.

Beauty, as described in the story, the water would come down Fountain Creek and out of Williams Canyon. It would likely overflow the banks of Fountain Creek and spread out from there.

That storm last year brought a scary amount of water through Manitou Springs. I live on the west side and the scenario described terrifies me. I saw what it did to Rainbow Falls, a storm any bigger could wipe out most of old Manitou.

I wonder: Would the water come right down Manitou Ave, or would it go down 24 and spill over *onto Manitou, in the area around the old entrance to Cave of the Winds.

We fail to see the significance of the problem since the county continues to keep Rampart Range Road closed and have kept us from seeing anything of the devastation.

Not to mention the coverup around how fire started...my hunch being because the DEA was burning MJ and it got out of control and Obama doesn't want to pay for 356 houses.
