Perhaps a new slogan:

"DOWNTOWN, IT'S NOT JUST FOR LUNCH ANYMORE!"

- - -but, what else is there? Could that be the key?

This idea that having a vibrant downtown makes for a great city seems to put the cart before the horse - did it ever occur to these people constantly promoting the downtown interests that it takes a thriving city to have the components necessary to create a successful downtown? Not the other way around.

There goes the Mayor again, saying he is all over job creation yet does not show up to the ground breaking of the largest public project the City of Colorado Springs has ever seen. He makes our city look like such a dysfunctional mess!
