Considering that most poetry is terrible — as an amateur attemptee, I can say that — consider paying respect to those who write it well. At 7 tonight, Pikes Peak Poet Laureate Aaron Anstett and UCCS professors and published poets Dr. Janice Gould and Dr. Mary Jane Sullivan will present their work at A City Dionysia Poetry Evening. The free reading takes place amid the artwork at GOCA 1420 (1420 Austin Bluffs Pkwy., inside the Science Building, facebook.com/citydionysia). — Edie Adelstein
