To give you an idea of how much passion Author Fest of the Rockies ignites in area wordy types, just hit boutique winery, D'Vine Wine (934 Manitou Ave., #108, Manitou Springs, authorfestoftherockies.org) and catch the kickoff party at 6 tonight. D'Vine has created wines specifically for the event — It Was a Dark and Stormy White and Well Read Red — and is looking to keep the party going nigh on through eight of the clock. Later in the week, look for banned-book readings, and a Jane Austen movie night. — Bryce Crawford
