The Red Sox and Yankees have probably the most heated, hated rivalry in all sports. The Yankees are the richest team in sports and just keep winning and winning. The Red Sox, meanwhile, have been cursed with failure since trading Babe Ruth to the Yankees back in 1918. We'll soon see how things'll play out this year.

Did you watch the political playoffs (the debates) or the baseball playoffs? I went for the baseball, though I didn't watch a whole lot of either.
What is the curse of the Bambino? It has something to do with Babe Ruth and losing the World Series. I'm not sure what, and I'm from Boston.
Is there anything to this curse? I'd like to say no, but it's been mostly bad news since I've been a Sox fan.
Is there a moral issue at stake in the Red Sox/ Yankees playoff? The Yankees are the best team money can buy. Everybody knows they have more money than anyone else. They can buy World Series championships.
If the universe were truly just, who'd be in the World Series? Baseball isn't a moral issue. But Boston would be there. And maybe the Cubs -- another perennial loser with a great fan base and a lot of history.

Which did you watch more -- Kerry versus Bush or The Sox versus The Yankees? I split time between both.
What is the curse of the Bambino? The Red Sox sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees. They got rid of the best player ever.
Is there anything to the curse? We'll see after this week. I'm pulling for the Sox, though.
Is a moral drama being played out in this rivalry? b> The Red Sox are righteous. The Yankees are amoral.
In a truly moral universe, who'd be in the World Series? The Red Sox and St. Louis. They're the two best teams. But it's a rough universe.

Did you spend more time watching the debates or the playoffs last week? The playoffs. They're less frustrating.
What is the curse of the Bambino? Boston traded Babe Ruth to the Yankees for pocket change and a towel. For being such idiots, they're doomed to forever lose.
Anything to it? I'll bet it's gotten to them a bit. You hear about it every year, and every year you lose, it starts to grow in your mind.
Is a moral issue at stake in this playoff? It's a case of people getting carried away with sports. Rivalries are fun, but come on. It's not life and death. Win, lose, you still wake up the next day and play with your kids.
Who'd be in the World Series in a truly just universe? The Cubs and Boston. Perennial losers with the biggest stigma. They've been around since the 1800s with the least success overall.
