A lot of parents underestimate the decibel level that comes with giving their children musical instruments. Never to be underestimated, however, is music's healing power, especially for kids battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Blue Star Connection, an organization that gives kids the instrument of their choice, will host a 2 p.m. fundraiser for its cause today at Stargazers Theatre and Event Center (10 S. Parkside Drive, bluestarconnection.org) featuring the musical talents of Trampled Under Foot, Young Austin and No Difference, Jim Adam & John Stilwagen, 6035, Lifetime Warranty and We Are Not a Glum Lot.
