Best Of 2013: Chinese
I moved to Colorado Springs in the mid-'80s. Having come from New York, I decided that two types of food would be off-limits to me out here: Italian and Chinese. Except, that is, if the latter came from China Village. The restaurant, which has been open for 31 years, was the only place where my family and I could get wonton soup and egg rolls reminiscent of those from East Coast restaurants. Since then, the offerings in town have improved considerably, but I still return to China Village as a place where I can expect consistently good food and friendly service. — Laura Eurich
