Porn star and - California gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey leads the - cast as the nubile Cheryl, who, while seducing her - boyfriend's son, runs into a bit of trouble with an - unknown entity, who may or may not be the titular - pervert. And what brought on this admittedly esoteric love? - The incredibly entertaining The Devil's Sword. - Combining the most whacked-out plot elements from - the most insane kung-fu "hero-on-a-quest" films, with a - decidedly spiritual, almost existential Alexandro - Jorodowsky feel, The Devil's Sword is an - otherworldly, hallucinogenic sojourn. Our hero must - battle zombies, crocodile men, evil warriors with black- - magic powers, a Cyclops with a car's headlight in its - head, and the Devil herself. I've watched this twice and I - still feel like I haven't taken it all in. Add to that feeling - the bizarre backwards-motion special effects, and you'll - swear you dreamed the whole damned thing. - Louis Fowler
