Sleep Tight (NR)

Dark Sky Films

Spanish director Jaume Balaguero's follow-up to the found-footage trailblazers [REC] and [REC]2 completely eschews the hand-held camera effect for a tense, terrifying, Polanski-esque tale of obsession, perversion and general misanthropy. Apartment doorman Cesar seems like a genial fella on the outside, always with a cheerful word and a helping hand for the residents who take the time to say hello. But on the inside, he teems with hatred for their happy, smiling faces, and he sets out to destroy each of their lives in the most covert ways possible. He might give a dog diarrhea, kill some beloved plants or, in the case of the always-bright-side-looking Clara, poison her beauty products, create a cockroach infestation, or hide under her bed every night as she sleeps. Sleep Tight is a deliberate, unnerving and fascinating character study of a man who can't feel happiness. — Louis Fowler

SEAL Team Six: The Raid on Osama bin Laden (NR) (Blu-ray)

Anchor Bay Entertainment

Zero Dark Thirty provides the government-approved account of what transpired on that fateful day when America's own SEAL Team Six put a round of hellfire into the most wanted terrorist in the world. Quietly released on home video, however, is the far more entertaining take on the events, SEAL Team Six: The Raid on Osama bin Laden. Originally aired on the National Geographic Channel, this independent account might not get all of the facts right, but it sure does get the heart beating as it takes us in-depth through the mission, with all of that Hollywood fat cut out. Directed with a rough-and-tumble flair by John Stockwell and starring a somewhat-big-name cast, including Anson (Hell on Wheels) Mount, Freddy (Planet Terror) Rodriguez and rapper Alvin "Xzibit" Jones, SEAL Team Six might go down as the "lesser" dramatization, the one that won't win the awards or make the Top 10 lists, but it will definitely have a better replay value over the years. — Louis Fowler
