City Council who? It wasn't long ago that Colorado Springs City Council members were praised, reviled or at odds with the law often enough to be household names. These days, it seems many people can't name a single member.

Name every City Council member you can. I can't name any.
Why are so many people in that boat? Most people are like me they pay a little attention to national politics, but almost none to local.
What do you know about the water issues facing Colorado Springs?
I know there are issues, but I'm not sure what they are.
If you ran for Council, what would your foremost priority be? I'd like to see the city take a stand on impeachment of the president and the war on Iraq.
City Council members are paid approximately $6,000 a year. Should it be more? I'm not sure what they do, so I can't really say.

Name a City Council member. I can't.
What do you know about water issues affecting Colorado Springs? We need more conservation. We need better controls over development and appropriate water rights before we build.
If you ran for City Council, what issue would be paramount for you? Making sure the city grows smart, that we don't build out Banning-Lewis Ranch just because we can.
Should Council members get a pay raise? The city needs to decide whether it wants a full-time or part- time Council. If full-time, they need a living wage. If part-time, $6,000 a year is fine.

Name the members of City Council. There's the mayor, Lionel Rivera. I think Tom Gallagher is one. Richard Skorman used to be one.
What do you know about local water issues? I know a little about the Southern Delivery System, but what really bothers me is the sewage smell of Monument Creek. I run and bicycle along it, and the smell gets disgusting.
What would be your main issue if you ran for City Council? Controls on growth; limiting sprawl.
Should Council get a pay raise? A city this size needs a full-time mayor, who gets paid accordingly. The other members should get, say, $25 an hour.
