Colorado Springs farmers markets in 2014 

It takes more than mountains and sunny weather to keep Colorado the healthiest state in the nation, and fresh food from farmers markets is no small part of the equation. As such, there is a farmers market to service locals every day of the week.

Below is a breakdown of where to find this year's markets, as of press time. Check csindy.com for the most up-to-date information.

Monday

Tuesday

Wednesday

Thursday

Friday

Saturday

• 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 10 through Oct. 18, Monument Hill Farmers Market (66 Jefferson St., springsfarmersmarkets.com)

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 31 through Oct. 11, Margarita at PineCreek (7350 Pine Creek Road, farmandartmarket.com)

• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 7 through Nov. 1, University Village Colorado (5230 N. Nevada Ave., millerfarms.net)

• Mornings (times TBD), June 28 through Oct. 4, Doherty High School (4515 Barnes Road)

• Winter market: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., second Saturday of each month from October through May, Ute Pass Cultural Center (210 E. Midland Ave., Woodland Park, wpfarmersmarket.com)

Sunday

• 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 1 through Sept. 28, Briargate (7610 N. Union Blvd., springsfarmersmarkets.com)

Daily

• 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays, early July through late October, Spencer's Lawn & Garden Center (1430 S. Tejon St., 632-2788, spencersgardens.com). The store's Fountain location at 4720 Center Valley Drive also offers a market with the same hours Fridays through Sundays, from early July into October. Call for specific dates.
