Last week, my friend's cat was "bathing" herself and got her tongue pinned between her neck and her collar. Had she been outfitted in gingerbrett, instead of nylon, it would have been a much happier moment. According to Sally Davis, gingerbrett is a "ginger cookie you wear around your neck for nibbling." One feline's fate aside, why should you care? Because Davis is with the inaugural Colorado Springs Oktoberfest, and gingerbrett is among the offerings during the three-day event, which begins at 6 tonight and continues tomorrow and Sunday at Security Service Field (4385 Tutt Blvd.).
