Comics 2000

What with all the head swelling, breast beating, doom speaking and general hysteria surrounding Y2K, we decided to let our readers off the hook with a few good end-of-the-century laughs in our last edition of 1999. (Truth be told, we also wanted a week off, just like you, to gather provisions, hunker down and welcome in the new century.) But due to the tricky issue of Web rights, the twenty fantabulous comics published in this week's issue will not appear on our on-line issue. If you're in the mood for a chuckle, we recommend you pick up a hard-copy version of the paper. We think you'll like what you see. In fact, let us know which strips you like best by sending us a note, placing a phone call or registering an e-mail. We're planning to pull ourselves up by the bootstraps and rethink cartoons in 2000, and we value your opinion.
