Cross-Currents: Tradition and Innovation in Contemporary Art of the Islamic World
a group show featuring seven contemporary artists from Iran, Iraq, Bosnia and Pakistan who "adapt or appropriate aesthetic strategies from older Persian and Arabic traditions." Topics the works explore include themes of secular and sacred spaces, exile and return, gender identities and more.
