D-11 board spot open

Colorado Springs School District 11's Board of Education must appoint a new member after the resignation of at-large member Linda Mojer. Mojer, elected to the board in 2013, is moving to Florida.

Want to apply? Candidates must have been a registered D-11 voter for at least 12 months, have not been convicted of a sexual offense against a child or any felony, and not be a term-limited D-11 board member.

Applicants must submit a resumé and signed Affidavit of School Director Candidate for Appointment by Aug. 3, and should attend an orientation at 6 p.m. Aug. 1 at the D-11 administration building, 1115 N. El Paso St. The board will appoint a new member Aug. 10.
