Earthquakes and floods 

Global warming, earthquakes in Pakistan, hurricanes and flooding in the Gulf, famine and AIDS devastation in Africa -- the world seems one giant disaster of late. And who doesn't suspect an economic Perfect Storm forming somewhere?

    Do economic disasters or natural disasters worry you more? Natural disasters. They're uncontrollable, but economic disasters are more of a gradual process, so you can make choices or move away.

    How well does this town do on snow removal? That's kind of a loaded question, because I do snow removal operations for the city at the airport. As far as the city as a whole, I've seen better snow removal in years past than now, especially on side roads.

    What's the scariest natural disaster you've been in? Driving in a huge snowstorm near Salida. The roads were extremely icy, it was late at night and way out in the country, with my kids in the back of the car.

    Do economic or natural disasters worry you most? I'm pretty prepared for natural disasters, but if the economy goes bad or the stock market crashes and I lose my retirement savings -- I don't have a lot of control over that.

    Rate Colorado Springs on snow removal. They do a pretty good job most of the time.
