We could've done so many stories to preview oh, wait, that's prevue the fall arts season in Colorado Springs.
New leaders have joined the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, the Philharmonic and UCCS' Gallery of Contemporary Art. A new building, Colorado College's Cornerstone Arts Center, has welcomed the community for numerous events even before it's hosted its grand opening. And smaller organizations are somehow staging performances on budgets that have gone from tight to positively breathtaking in today's harsh economy.
But since this is a preview um, prevue we've decided just to blab about the best arts-related events scheduled through Thanksgiving. We'll look at the concerts, movie releases and book releases that will help define pop culture for the next two months, as well as a pair of early-September events the Colorado Festival of World Theatre and UVAPAPA that have helped to define local culture for years. And as always, there'll be pages of listings to fill out the local arts picture in our area.
Whatever you call this issue, we hope it helps you enjoy a dynamic season.
