Family Trails: From Sagebrush to Paintbrush

When: June 7-July 15 2014

Rudl and Audrie Mergelman — father and daughter, both born in Gunnison, both in love with the living West — have woven their styles together in a new show: Family Trails: From Sagebrush to Paintbrush. Horses, bison, elk and cowboys are given life on canvas at the Tracy Miller Gallery (16 Ruxton Ave., Manitou Springs, tracymillergallery.com), with Rudl's works a more subtle play of light and color and Audrie's barely controlled bursts of intense hues. Hours today are from 11 to 5, if you missed the opening reception on Saturday, June 7, from 4 to 7. The show will be up through mid-July, so giddy-up! — Mar Jo Meade
