Good eatin'

We've been inundated in recent years with so many food trends -- and scares -- that it's hard to keep up anymore. There's the Slow Food movement, and pushes to avoid genetically altered food and assembly-line slaughterhouses that have been the source of mass contaminated-meat recalls. So why haven't more people made the switch to an organic diet?

If I'm buying it all at the supermarket then almost none at all. - - What is your grossest fast-food story? Aside from thinking that fast food in general is gross, I don't have one. - - - -

I don't think that it's extremely cost prohibitive; it is a little more expensive than regular food. I prefer to buy organic food if I could, but considering how much money I'm not making, I can't. - - Is the push toward organic food a big scam? No, I think that overall it is better for you. It isn't as good as regular food because they have to go out of their way to put in different substitutes for food ingredients that they think aren't good for me. Especially for a college student, getting organic foods is kind of difficult. - - How much more expensive is organic food? I don't know exactly, but compared to non-organic food it is more expensive. - - Is the push toward organic food just a big scam? For people who have enough income to afford it, I think it's a good thing; but for someone in my position, it isn't. - - What is your grossest fast-food story? Anytime I go to McDonald's.
