The Colorado Springs area is home to the highest concentration of nonprofits and foundations anywhere in the country outside Washington, D.C. Whether it be via Goodwill, trail maintenance, animal shelter services or domestic violence prevention, you could argue that we all benefit daily in some form from the services nonprofits provide. And studies indicate that donating time and effort to volunteer programs enhances our psychological and physical well-being.
