Bites 2012

Decade-old Halla San will, like pretty much all of our local Korean eateries, win your affection with generous banchan (side bowls) and delicious renditions of Korean standards — everything from a yummy stone-bowl bibimbab to sweet, cast-iron-served bulgogi.

Like every Korean restaurant in town, Halla San offers traditional dishes, including bulgogi, rice and noodle dishes. But the most intriguing thing is the soup selection. You won’t want to put your spoon down while slurping the sinus-clearing kimchi soup or the rich Korean miso soup.
