Almost all of us hit the drive-thru on occasion, and face it, lines from fast-food commercials -- "You deserve a break today," "Think outside the bun," "Have it your way," even "Where's the beef?" -- are part of common parlance. Doing fast-food commercials has proven a path to wealth and celebrity. (Check out the cover story beginning on page 14 for more.)

    Do you like fast food? No.

    Do you eat at fast-food restaurants? Yes.

    Why patronize them if you don't like the food? Because it's fast. Nowadays, with everyone working so hard, you find yourself doing things you don't like just to get the family fed. Fast food is one of those things.
