Hello, lamppost!

Now it's time to visit with family, give and receive gifts, and think about what is important to us. However, the real meaning of the holidays sometimes gets lost in a flood of shopping, decoration and stress.

Merry Christmas. Happy Hanukkah. Joyous Solstice. Welcome Kwanzaa.

It got sent to a village in Africa and they are taking care of it there. - - Why are we obsessed with buying people stuff for Christmas? I think it is ingrained that people have to buy things. I don't think people grasp the concept of giving nonmaterial objects. - - What does the phrase "goodwill toward men" mean? Just everyday little things that you do for people, like opening the door for someone, helping to carry someone's groceries or just picking up trash. - - What do you think about the concept of peace on Earth? I think it is a very utopian concept. I don't know if it will ever happen but it is nice to wish for that. - - What's the best Christmas movie ever? A Christmas Story. It's just the one that I see every year. I think it's funny.

I guess because the pressure is on to show that you love and care about someone. I think society in general is so materialistic and focused on spending, earning and having money. People get pressured into it. - - What does "goodwill toward men" mean? Doing something nice for your neighbors or co-workers, like cooking them a meal, doing them a favor or helping them with some chores. - - What's your favorite Christmas movie? It's A Wonderful Life. We've been inundated in recent years with so many food trends -- and scares -- that it's hard to keep up anymore. There's the Slow Food movement, and pushes to avoid genetically altered food and assembly-line slaughterhouses that have been the source of mass contaminated-meat recalls.

Meanwhile, Rush Limbaugh erupted in anger after investigators looking for proof that he illegally obtained drugs raided his doctor's offices.
