"We've brought all our recipes from Pueblo," says manager Jennifer Davidson. "The menu is completely different from what it was [at Henri's]. We've brought our Pueblo cooks, so everything here is exactly as it is in Pueblo."
The restaurant has been remodeled for a fresher look, although tiles and murals remain.
Davidson says the green chiles from Southern Colorado farms distinguish Jorge's from other Mexican restaurants. The menu features the standards, in addition to several shrimp dishes including shrimp ceviche (available Fridays and Saturdays only) and tacos de camerones.
Henri's by Jorge is open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Call 634-9031 for more.
New eats, new seats
Shuga's Restaurant and Bar (702 S. Cascade Ave.) recently launched a new summer menu. Items include a North Carolina chopped barbecue sandwich, shrimp ceviche and a made-fresh-daily garden gazpacho. The restaurant also announced the addition of a new back patio dining area by Frank & Lou Design Studio, featuring hand-painted outdoor tables that are in use and also available for purchase. More animals than the zoo (well, almost)
The Craftwood Inn (404 El Paso Blvd., Manitou Springs) is now serving a new summer menu. Exotic four-legged offerings include elk, antelope, tundra caribou, venison, South Texas wild boar and buffalo.
