Highs and lows

It's been rough riding: There's been Hurricane Katrina and the FEMA debacle, the continuing and bloody Iraq war and occupation, a skyrocketing national deficit. Politically, we've had our share of scandals. Did Karl Rove leak a certain something about a certain CIA agent? What exactly did he tell James Dobson about Harriet Miers? And did Tom DeLay do it? It's enough to make us appreciate the simple joys in our own lives.
