Rocky Mountain Relocation Project, to help 250 extended families to relocate from the hurricane zone. Donations of cars, auto mechanic services, airline miles and cash needed. Families, civic and religious organizations also needed to "Adopt-A-Family". Call 578-5513 for more.

Dine Out to Help Out and Sleep Out to Help Out, a fund-raiser by bars, taverns and nightclubs and hotels that will donate at least 10 percent of their sales to hurricane relief efforts. Takes place on Oct. 5. Visit coloradorestaurant.com for a list of participating vendors.

Idoru, 218 N. Tejon St., 667-0965. Idoru is conducting a month-long clothing drive for new items such as underwear and socks and gently used items like shoes, T-shirts and jeans. Items will be donated and distributed to hurricane survivors. Kick-off at their grand opening party on Fri., Sept. 30, 6-8 p.m.

Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund-raiser, Alumni Nightclub, 3881 E. Pikes Peak Ave., 596-0215. The fund-raiser will include a raffle and an auction and proceeds will be distributed locally through Trinity Church and Pastor Jim Dotson. Sat., Sept. 24, 1-6 p.m.

Hurricane Relief Concert, Thunder and Buttons II, 2415 W. Colorado Ave. Suggested donation of $10. All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross. Fri., Sept. 24, performances include Arch Hooks at 2 p.m.; Johnny Graves and the Blue Waves at 3 p.m.; The Remotes at 4 p.m.; Tempered at 5 p.m.; Mystic 7 at 6 p.m.; The Jake Loggins Band at 7 p.m.; Body Cast at 8 p.m. and the Nocturnal Tomatoes from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Call Craig at 201-2592 for more.

Pikes Peak Community Action Agency, collecting clothes, baby wipes, laundry detergent, toothpaste, feminine products, new socks, diapers, toothbrushes, bath soap, towels, deodorant, baby formula, canned food, phone cards, gift cards to Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, jackets, new underwear, office supplies, shoes and more. There are several drop-off locations in El Paso County. Call 471-7870 for more.

Care and Share Food Bank, collecting bottled water, granola and energy bars, beef jerky, canned meals, baby formula and diapers needed in case-quantities to be sent to the gulf coast. Other items donated will be given to survivors arriving in our area and to replenish local food resources. Visit careandshare.org or call 528-1247 for more.

The Salvation Army is seeking volunteers to help with relief efforts in Denver. Transportation is available. Volunteers will help feed approximately 1,000 storm survivors and are requested to work a 24-hour shift. Call 636-5266 or visit tsacs.org for more.

Pikes Peak Workforce Center, is offering the opportunity for local business owners and managers who may want to offer jobs to Hurricane Katrina evacuees to list their jobs by calling 667-3839 or 667-3751. Jobs may be designed for evacuees only and can be full-time, part-time or temp positions. Visit ppwfc.org for more.
